About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner provides well and acute/chronic care to patients in a primary care setting within the scope of their specialty. The NP completes evaluations and documentation of patients’ health status, works with a physician collaborator, and educates patients and families. The NP practices to the full scope of their license and serves a diverse population. The Physician Assistant provides well and acute/chronic primary care to patients across all ages, from infancy through adulthood, or within the age limits of their license. The PA comprehensively evaluates and documents patients’ health status, works with a supervising physician, and collaborates with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, to provide coordinated care. The PA educates patients and families about health management, preventive care, and treatment plans, and practices to the full scope of their license for a diverse population.
Requirements
- Current license to practice in New York State.
- Maintain credentialing and privileges as granted by the Board of Directors and the Health Center.
- Maintain current DEA registration.
- Must not be excluded from participating as a provider in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.
Responsibilities
