About The Position

Join an independent, non-profit, and award-winning critical access hospital and make an immediate impact in the charming rural communities of the beautiful Driftless Region of Southwest Wisconsin! Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua, WI is looking for a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join its collaborative Family Medicine team. This full-time position involves providing high-quality patient care to our dynamic rural communities while working a schedule consisting of four 10-hour shifts Monday-Friday. This role is perfect for an experienced or recently graduated APP looking to make an immediate difference in a primary care setting while gaining competency through collaboration with our forward-thinking family practice physician team.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current certification as a PA-C or NP and licensure to practice in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain.)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

• PALS and ATLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across all age groups in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Perform assessments, physical exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans for a variety of acute and chronic conditions.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care, primarily in a modern and progressive clinic setting.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care.
