About The Position

UT Health Carthage is seeking a Family Medicine Advanced Practice Practitioner—a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant—to join its employed team in Carthage, Texas, approximately 47 miles from Shreveport, Louisiana. Family Medicine experience is preferred but not required. The position is outpatient only, joining a team of two physicians and five APPs. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no call requirement. The practice uses Epic EMR. The recruitment package may include a base salary plus a wRVU production incentive, a CME/CEU allowance, medical debt assistance and consultative services through Navigate Student Loans, paid malpractice coverage, health benefits, a retirement plan, and marketing and practice-growth assistance. UT Health Carthage is a 42-bed facility and part of UT Health East Texas, a regional network formed in 2018 through the combination of East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. The network includes 10 hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, freestanding emergency centers, urgent care facilities, and other locations. Carthage is in deep East Texas, 20 miles from the Louisiana state line, and is known as the “Gas Capital of the United States.” It is home to Panola College and attractions including the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame and the Tex Ritter Museum, along with annual events such as the Piney Woods Quilt Festival and the Panola County Cattlemen's Pro Rodeo. Carthage is 47 miles from Shreveport, Louisiana, and 61 miles from Tyler, Texas.
