OnSite Dermatology - Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner - Part Time
About The Position
OnSite Dermatology is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with medical dermatology experience for a part-time role serving communities in and around Asheville, North Carolina. The position is one day per week and provides mobile dermatology services to seniors in retirement communities and nursing homes. The organization focuses on diagnosing and treating skin conditions, including precancers, cancerous growths, inflammation, scaling, and infections. The role offers an established patient base and the opportunity to provide dedicated dermatology care to an underserved, vulnerable population. The clinician will typically visit two to three communities per day, grouped by location, and will travel daily. The practice provides a staffed back office to support appointments, insurance verification, and billing, along with a cloud-based dermatology-specific electronic medical record. The position offers autonomy and competitive compensation.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of medical dermatology experience.
- Valid state Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
Nice To Haves
- Geriatric experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical assessments and diagnose and treat a variety of dermatological disorders.
- Perform full-body skin exams.
- Perform biopsies, cryotherapy, and electrodessication and curettage (ED&C).
- Travel to and provide care at communities in Asheville, NC, and surrounding areas.
