About The Position

Our Family Medicine practice provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care for individuals and families across all stages of life. Services include annual physical examinations, routine health screenings, preventive care, chronic disease management, and treatment of acute illnesses for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Our goal is to identify and address health risks early, promote healthy lifestyles, and deliver high-quality, coordinated care that supports long-term health and well-being. To enhance practice operations, increase patient access, and deliver an exceptional patient experience, this role will include a combination of traditional primary care visits and same-day sick appointments. Providers practice autonomously at the top of their licensure while collaborating closely as part of a supportive, team-based care model. We are seeking an experienced, full-time 40-hour Physician Assistant to support our office located at 981 Worcester Street in Wellesley, MA. We are open to our patients Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position includes 32 hours of direct patient care and 8 hours of administrative time each week. This provider’s administrative day will either be on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree Physician Assistant required
  • Physician Assistant [State License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • 2 years of experience as a PA required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior clinical experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting.
  • Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
  • Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries.
  • Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
  • May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.
