About The Position

Foundation Health Partners is actively recruiting an experienced Physician Assistant to join our Outpatient Family Medicine Team in Alaska. This role offers the opportunity to advance your career and broaden your scope of practice in a unique setting. You will join a family medicine clinic with over 60 years of history serving the Fairbanks community, providing care to patients across the full lifespan, from newborns to geriatrics. The clinic is part of a large multidisciplinary health system, and providers manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions. Practicing within a rural health system allows for a broad scope of practice and a more active role in managing complex patient care. The clinic environment is collaborative, with physicians and advanced practice providers working together to support community needs.

Requirements

Must be approved to practice by the State Joint Board on the Regulation of Physician's Assistants.
NCCPA certification required.
Exhibits an exemplary professional demeanor and interpersonal relationship skills.
Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications and database management.
Must have sufficient experience, confidence, and judgment to function with little outside direction.
Ability to maintain CME currency as required to maintain NCCPA certification.
Requires personal DEA license.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree preferred.
Experience in clinical setting including supervision is preferred.
ACLS, PALS, ATLS.

Responsibilities

Manage a broad range of acute concerns as well as ongoing chronic conditions.
Maintain a broad scope of practice and take a more active role in managing complex patient care.
Partner with physicians to manage patient care within a care team model.
