About The Position

Fairview is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Medicine team at Fairview Lakes Medical Center. This position is part of a team of 7 APP's and 15 Physicians. The Emergency Department sees an average of 77 patients per day with annual volumes of 28,000. Approximately 15% of these visits are pediatrics. The facility is a 65 licensed bed facility with a 24 bed ED and is a Level IV Trauma Center. The role utilizes a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC). The community of Wyoming, Minnesota offers a close-knit, small-town feel with access to outdoor recreation and the northern Twin Cities area.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant training program.
• BC/BE through the NCCPA.
• Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
• Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges (if required).

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 2 years of PA experience is preferred.
• New grads who have completed an Emergency Medicine Residency/Fellowship will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide care within the Emergency Medicine team.
• Work a weekend rotation, approximately 18 weekends per year.
• Work some holidays as required.
• Utilize a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
