About The Position

Fairview is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Emergency Medicine team at Fairview Lakes Medical Center. This position is part of a team of 7 APP's and 15 Physicians. The role involves working within the Emergency Department (ED) and Urgent Care. The ED is a 24-bed unit within a 65-licensed bed facility, serving as a Level IV Trauma Center with average daily volumes of 77 patients and annual ED volumes of 28,000. Approximately 15% of ED visits are pediatric. The facility utilizes a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC). Wyoming, Minnesota, offers a close-knit, rural-suburban feel with community pride and access to outdoor recreation and the northern Twin Cities area.

Requirements

• Graduate of a school of nursing and accredited Family Nurse Practitioner training program.
• BC/BE through the AANP or ANCC.
• Licensed or ability to obtain APRN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
• Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges (if required).
• ATLS Certified (Advanced Trauma Life Support). Level 4 Trauma.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 2 years of NP experience is preferred.
• Some ED experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care within the Emergency Medicine team.
• Work within the Emergency Department and Urgent Care hours.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations.
• Utilize the Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) for patient care.
