About The Position
Atlantic Health is seeking a per diem Physician Assistant (PA) to join the nationally recognized Cardiac Surgery team at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center. This is an outstanding opportunity to contribute to one of the region’s premier cardiac programs, which performs more than 1,000 open-heart procedures each year and holds a prestigious three-star rating from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Adult Cardiac Surgery Report for excellence in Isolated CABG, CABG/AVR, and Mitral Valve Repair/Replacement. This top-tier rating places Atlantic Health among the nation’s elite in cardiac surgical care. The Physician Assistant will serve as first assist in the operating room and provide expert care to post-operative cardiac surgery patients.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting.
- Proficiency in Open Radial Artery Harvesting.
- Proficiency in Femoral Vessel Exposure.
- Skilled in central and arterial line placement.
- Skilled in chest tube insertion.
- Skilled in suturing.
Responsibilities
- Serve as first assist in the operating room.
- Provide expert care to post-operative cardiac surgery patients.
- Perform Endoscopic Vein Harvesting.
- Perform Open Radial Artery Harvesting.
- Perform Femoral Vessel Exposure.
- Perform central and arterial line placement.
- Perform chest tube insertion.
- Perform suturing.
