Physical Therapy Technician
About The Position
Empower Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapy Technician for its Arrowhead clinic. The position is suited to people interested in healthcare careers, including pre-physical therapy, nursing, and allied health students, as well as athletes and former athletes. Experience in a physical therapy or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; the clinic is willing to train an enthusiastic, caring, and motivated candidate. The technician assists providers during patient exercises and treatments, helps patients have a smooth and enjoyable visit, and supports front-office activities such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering calls, and handling copays. The role also requires communication among providers, patients, and front-office staff, as well as adaptability, attention to detail, and time management in a fast-paced clinic. The team emphasizes collaboration, professionalism, a welcoming and safe clinic atmosphere, and excellent patient service.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Friendly and approachable personality, with an interest in interacting with people.
- Interest in exercise, sports, anatomy, and physiology.
- Dedication to excellent customer service.
- Ability to adjust to changing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with computer systems and software.
- Willingness to support and collaborate with teammates.
- Eagerness to learn and grow, openness to feedback, and commitment to improvement.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a physical therapy or healthcare setting.
- Prior experience in healthcare or exercise science.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers during patient exercises and treatments.
- Guide patients and help ensure their visit is smooth and enjoyable.
- Support the Front Office Coordinator by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering calls, and handling copays.
- Maintain communication among providers, patients, and front-office staff.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment, manage time, and remain detail-oriented.
- Collaborate with teammates, support the team, and contribute to a safe, warm, and friendly clinic atmosphere.
