About The Position
Freedom Pointe at the Villages is hiring a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant to provide rehabilitation services to older adults. The role focuses on individualized therapy, communication with residents and their support teams, accurate documentation, and helping residents regain function, independence, and quality of life. Requirements
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Previous therapy experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Complete background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized therapy services, including screening, evaluation, treatment, program planning, and implementation.
- Communicate patient progress, needs, and goals with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Complete documentation accurately and promptly to support billing and payroll requirements.
- Support residents in regaining function, independence, and quality of life.
