About The Position

Under the supervision and guidance of a physical therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant carries out each assigned patient’s established plan of care using therapeutic modalities and techniques. The role includes completing documentation related to care provided and communicating promptly with the supervising therapist and other team members.

Texoma Medical Center is a 414-bed acute care facility serving North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. The position requires the ability to commute between facilities in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensed by the State of Texas or eligible to sit for the licensing examination.
• Complete a BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines during new-hire orientation before working in a clinical setting.
• Ability to commute between facilities in a timely manner.
• General knowledge of therapy skills and competencies.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Basic computer skills.
