Physical Therapy Asst Rehab Services Days FT
About The Position
Physical Therapy Assistants assist the physical therapist in performing treatments to prevent disabilities and restore and maintain patients’ functional capacity at an optimal level. The position provides one-on-one patient care in an outpatient hospital-based clinic and covers acute care. The role is responsible to the Director of Rehabilitation Services. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, lab work, and review of immunization records. Annual respirator fit testing is required. The patient population served includes infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
Requirements
- Must hold a current Physical Therapy Assistant license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Obtain and maintain American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
- Ability to work with multiple medical disciplines.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, lab work, and immunization records review.
- Annual respirator fit testing is required.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of clinical practice as a physical therapy assistant is preferred.
