About The Position

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered care in Gadsden, Alabama, with coverage in Etowah and Calhoun. The role offers one-to-one care in patients’ homes, independent work with team support, and a Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. full-time schedule.

The PTA delivers physical therapy services planned, delegated, and supervised by a qualified Physical Therapist and follows each patient’s Plan of Treatment. The role includes coordinating with the Physical Therapist on patient progress and care needs, communicating updates, helping secure and use adaptive equipment, and completing treatment and billing documentation within required timelines and regulations.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state where practicing.
• Current Basic Life Support or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification, in accordance with state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services planned, delegated, and supervised by a qualified Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient’s Plan of Treatment.
• Confer regularly with the Physical Therapist regarding the patient’s treatment plan, progress toward goals, questions, and concerns.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the Physical Therapist of record.
• Assist in securing special adaptive equipment to improve patient function and incorporate adaptive equipment into the rehabilitation program.
• Maintain and submit patient treatment and billing documentation in the format and timeframes required by the company, facility, funding source, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
