About The Position
Eddy Visiting Nurse & Rehab Association (EVNRA) is hiring a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant to collaborate with a team of Physical Therapists and manage a caseload of patients requiring home-based therapy, primarily post-acute or subacute. The role provides physical therapy services in patients’ homes to help them reach their optimal level of functioning, including evaluation and treatment of functional deficits resulting from neurologic, orthopedic, and medical conditions. The position cares for one patient at a time. After training, the Physical Therapy Assistant can start and end the workday from home and work independently. EVNRA provides a comprehensive orientation, in-depth computer training, help obtaining insurance authorizations, and access to Rehab Supervisor support by phone. The organization highlights the use of current technology, mileage reimbursement, and safety training and protective equipment for care delivered in clients’ homes.
Requirements
- New York State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) licensure.
- At least one year of experience working with adult and/or geriatric patients as a PTA.
- Ability to work independently.
Nice To Haves
- Home care experience is preferred but not required.
