Physical Therapy Assistant PTA PRN Gateway Rehab
About The Position
Gateway Rehab, located in Florence, Kentucky, is a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital providing services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. The hospital helps patients regain physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home with the highest level of independence. Its smaller, specialized setting offers a fast-paced and friendly work environment where staff can get to know patients and their families. The Physical Therapy Assistant assists the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy services to patients, including treatment, program planning and implementation, related documentation, and communication. The position functions under a Physical Therapist and in accordance with physician orders.
Requirements
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of employment.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience preferred.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.
Responsibilities
