About The Position

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield, a 60-bed rehabilitation hospital operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, provides inpatient rehabilitation for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The Physical Therapy Assistant joins a fast-paced team environment with opportunities to learn and grow, helping deliver patient care that meets high standards and expectations. This PRN role is scheduled for varied daytime hours, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Associate degree from a physical therapy assistant program.
• Current PTA license in the state of practice.
• CPR certification required.
• Passion for helping others and ability to work as a team player.

Nice To Haves

• Rehabilitation or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
• Assist patients with mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress to the physical therapist.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
