About The Position

Arbor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Services is seeking a committed and patient-focused Physical Therapy Assistant to provide rehabilitation services at a location in Vermillion, Ohio. The role provides physical therapy treatments to patients to support increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. The company is family owned and operated and emphasizes quality patient care and customer service. This is a per-diem (PRN) position.

Requirements

• Valid license to practice physical therapy.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and basic math skills.
• Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement the patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs consistent with each patient's needs and capabilities.
• Assist the Physical Therapist when they perform tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instruct patients, families, and other caregivers in skills and techniques for the physical therapy treatment program under the Physical Therapist's supervision.
