About The Position

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, is hiring a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant. The hospital is a 60-bed rehabilitation facility providing inpatient rehabilitation for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The position works with the rehabilitation team to provide patient care in a fast-paced environment. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., on PRN days.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from a physical therapist assistant program.
• Current PTA license in the state of practice.
• CPR certification.
• Passion for helping others and ability to work as a team player.

Nice To Haves

• Rehabilitation or acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
• Assist with patient mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress to the physical therapist.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
