About The Position

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Springfield, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join their team. This role is crucial in providing superior patient care that exceeds industry standards and patient expectations. The hospital is a 60-bed rehabilitation facility offering inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The unit is described as a fast-paced yet fun environment with opportunities for learning and growth.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree from a PTA program.
• Current PTA license in state of practice.
• CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Rehab or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
• Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
