Physical Therapy Assistant (SIGN ON BONUS) - Briarcliff Manor, NY
About The Position
FOX Rehabilitation is hiring licensed Physical Therapy Assistants to serve older adults in Ossining and Briarcliff Manor, New York, and surrounding communities. The role is primarily based in a senior living community partner and follows FOX’s Geriatric House Calls™ model, delivering care where patients live. Working closely with a supervising Physical Therapist, the PTA carries out individualized treatment plans, guides patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities, and helps them rebuild strength, mobility, confidence, and independence. The position offers one-on-one patient care, mentorship from a supervising PT, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team that includes PTs, OTs, SLPs, and Fitness Specialists. FOX offers full-time, part-time, and PRN/FOX Flex pathways. The standard base pay range in New York is $24.04–$36.06 per hour, with opportunities to earn more. Requirements
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state(s) of practice, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of in-home and community-based care, including lifting, patient transfers, bed mobility, CPR, extensive walking, and wearing PPE when required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist, adjusting activities based on patient response and progress.
- Instruct, motivate, and safeguard patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities, observing and tracking their progress.
- Document visits accurately and on time in FOX’s EMR system, following FOX’s Clinical Documentation standards.
- Stay connected with patients, POAs, and community referral sources, and help coordinate coverage when needed.
- Provide hands-on care in patients’ homes and senior living communities.
- Drive to patient homes and senior living communities as part of the Geriatric House Calls™ model.
