About The Position
The Lutheran Care Center at Poughkeepsie is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant for an 1199 union role. Under the direction of a Physical Therapist, the assistant provides direct physical therapy care to short- and long-term adult patients to help them regain strength and mobility. The stated rate is $30.80 per hour, effective July 1, 2026. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is offered to full-time PTAs, paid in installments; eligibility and repayment terms apply. The Lutheran Care Center is a 160-bed nonprofit nursing and rehabilitation facility in the Hudson Valley and a subsidiary of The Lutheran Care Network. Employees are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, MMR, and PPD.
Requirements
- Associate degree.
- Valid New York State license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, MMR, and PPD.

- Previous post-acute experience is highly desired.
