About The Position

Join ATI Physical Therapy’s collaborative team as a Physical Therapy Aide, supporting patient care and recovery while gaining healthcare skills. You will work alongside Physical and Occupational Therapy professionals and receive hands-on training, mentorship, and direct exposure to physical therapy. The role includes welcoming and assisting patients, supporting intake and scheduling, helping clinicians prepare treatment areas and equipment, monitoring patient progress, and assisting with exercises and prescribed home exercise programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Healthcare and/or customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare experience, such as work as a Physical Therapist Aide/Technician or Medical Assistant, hospital employment, chiropractic experience, fitness industry experience, or being a PT or PTA student.
• Certified Personal Trainer experience.
• Experience or education in Health Services, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact warmly with patients by phone and in person during check-in and throughout appointments.
• Support an efficient patient intake and registration process and help clinicians schedule appointments in a timely manner.
• Onboard new patients by reviewing paperwork, verifying benefits, and completing medical forms.
• Prepare and clean treatment areas and set up and adjust exercise equipment for Physical Therapists.
• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the therapy team.
• Assist patients with exercises and support their prescribed home exercise programs.
