Physical Therapy Aide - Front Desk Support
About The Position
ATI Physical Therapy is hiring a full-time Physical Therapy Aide to support patient care and front desk and administrative operations at its E. Longmeadow, Massachusetts clinic. The role works alongside Physical and Occupational Therapy professionals and offers hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to physical therapy. The position is listed as 40 hours per week; clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The aide welcomes patients, supports intake and registration, helps with scheduling and onboarding, and assists clinicians with treatment-area preparation and exercise equipment. The role also supports patients with exercises and prescribed home exercise programs and shares observations about patient progress with the therapy team.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Healthcare and/or customer service experience.
Nice To Haves
- Healthcare experience, such as experience as a Physical Therapist Aide or Technician, Medical Assistant, hospital employee, chiropractic employee, fitness-industry worker, or PT or PTA student.
- Certified Personal Trainer experience.
- Experience or education in Health Services, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact warmly with patients by phone and in person during check-in and throughout appointments.
- Promote an efficient patient intake and registration process and assist clinicians with timely scheduling.
- Onboard new patients by reviewing paperwork, verifying benefits, and helping complete medical forms.
- Prepare and clean treatment areas and set up and adjust exercise equipment to support physical therapists.
- Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the therapy team.
- Assist patients in performing exercises and support their prescribed home exercise programs.
