About The Position
Derby Health & Rehab, proudly part of Axiom Healthcare Services, is expanding its in-house rehab team and seeking a passionate Full-Time or PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join them in Derby, Kansas. The role involves working alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team that values skills, voice, and professional growth. Rehabilitation at Derby Health & Rehab focuses on restoring independence, confidence, and quality of life.
Requirements
- Active Kansas PTA license in good standing
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care preferred
- Experience with Net Health documentation system is a plus
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising PT
- Deliver skilled therapy interventions to enhance mobility and function
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient progress
- Assist in modifying care plans based on patient response
- Educate residents and families on exercises and home programs
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation
