About The Position

KidsCare Home Health is an ethical, therapist-operated home health company providing therapy services to children with special needs in their homes. The Physical Therapist evaluates, organizes, and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy for pediatric patients, and guides patients and caregivers through tasks intended to restore, reinforce, or enhance performance. The position offers flexibility to choose caseload size, patients, and treatment times, as well as mentorship and professional development opportunities. The role includes a pay range of $58–$65 per session, based on skill set and experience.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
Current state-issued professional license.
Valid state driver license.
CPR certification.
Ability to read and write simple correspondence and speak effectively in small groups.
Strong critical-thinking skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Ability to interpret instructions and solve practical problems involving a variety of concrete variables.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, record keeping, and routine database activity.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Examine, evaluate, and administer remedial treatments for pediatric patients.
Provide screenings, evaluations, direct treatment, family and caregiver training, and counseling about patient status, progress, goals, home programming, and discharge planning.
Coordinate patient care with office staff and other disciplines.
Communicate with pediatric patients and families about progress, problems, home programs, and other matters related to therapy.
Refer patients and family members to appropriate professionals, agencies, services, and resources.
Consult with physicians about patient progress and maintain appropriate records.
Maintain supplies and equipment.
Perform internal and external public education functions, including periodic in-service presentations.
Participate in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
Attend continuing education activities and expand scope of service.
Maintain an adequate caseload with appropriate productivity.
Participate in team efforts to achieve company and departmental goals and share knowledge and skills with others.
Mentor students and new hires.
Participate in professional organizations and activities.
Use initiative and independent judgment in performing job responsibilities.
Provide backup services for other caseloads as needed.
Comply with company policies, practices, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
