Physical Therapist Floater (Central Suffolk)
About The Position
Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy is seeking a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking full-time Physical Therapist to provide floater coverage across its clinics in Central Suffolk, Long Island. Clinic locations will vary according to clinic needs and schedule demands. The therapist will assess patients, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and develop creative, effective treatment plans. The clinics have trained support staff and state-of-the-art spaces and equipment. Candidates at all experience levels are encouraged to apply, and the company will train the right new graduate.
Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist in New York State or eligible for licensure.
- First Aid certification.
- AED certification.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ need for physical therapy and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide care and treatment based on physician care plans, agency policy, and professional standards of care.
- Instruct family members, PTAs, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques.
- Provide coverage across clinics throughout Central Suffolk as clinic needs and scheduling demands require.
