About The Position
Pivot Rehabilitation is a therapy delivery and multi-faceted solution management company focused on improving health, advancing care, and lowering costs for aging populations within its communities. The Physical Therapist provides therapy services at Pivot at Edgemere Estates in El Paso, Texas, with the goal of supporting patients’ health, independence, and function. The role screens, evaluates, and treats patients; develops measurable goals and treatment plans; and communicates findings and treatment programs with patients, families, and other team members. The Physical Therapist also supervises physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation technicians in direct patient care and related activities, consistent with the state practice act. Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
- Hold current licensure as a physical therapist in the state of practice.
- Have good communication skills and the ability to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff.
- Be capable of performing the job responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and treat patients.
- Complete comprehensive evaluations using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures.
- Review patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions, and contraindications.
- Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to move patients toward their maximum level of independence and/or function.
- Supervise physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation technicians in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with the state practice act.
- Interpret and communicate evaluation findings and treatment programs to patients, family members, and other team members.
