About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a Physical Therapist for the Acute Care Rehab Department at Baptist South in Jacksonville, Florida. This part-time, day-shift position is 24 hours per week across three 8-hour shifts. The schedule includes regular Friday coverage and Saturday coverage every other week: Week 1 is Monday, Tuesday, and Friday; Week 2 is Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. The role provides physical therapy services to acute-care patients, including orthopedic and neurological care. Candidates must have at least one year of recent experience in an acute-care setting, as well as experience with surgical patient care, orthopedics, and neuro care. The position is based at 14546 Old St Augustine Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32258.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of physical therapy experience.
- At least 1 year of recent experience working in an acute-care setting.
- Experience with surgical patient care.
- Orthopedics experience.
- Neuro experience.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Licensed Physical Therapist from the Florida Department of Health.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer physical therapy treatment to patients.
- Provide patient care to improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
- Oversee support staff.
- Participate in departmental operations and performance improvement activities.
- Remain within budget guidelines.
- Participate in mandatory education and meet licensure requirements.
