About The Position

CoxHealth Rehabilitation Hospital in Partnership with Select Medical is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist in Ozark, Missouri. The position supports the hospital’s new 63-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital serving patients in Southwest Missouri. The hospital provides rehabilitation for people facing brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas, addressing their medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges. New graduates are welcome. A six-month new graduate mentorship program provides dedicated mentorship and support to build clinical confidence, strengthen skills, and support the transition into practice. The role also includes an extensive orientation program, clinical ladder opportunities, tuition reimbursement, and continuing education opportunities. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

Hold a current state license as a Physical Therapist (PT).
Possess Certified BLS or obtain it within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
Promote continuous quality improvement.
Teach and counsel patients and families.
Set goals and develop treatment plans.
Work cooperatively to identify and solve patient-specific and facility-wide needs.
Participate in discharge planning for each patient, including placement, patient and family education, and adaptive equipment.
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and PT and PTA students.
Conduct individual patient therapy regimens.
Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and modify treatment during sessions as needed.
Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
