About The Position

The Physical Therapist helps patients regain strength, restore mobility, and rebuild confidence after illness, injury, or surgery. Working with physicians and the care team, the therapist evaluates patient needs and develops personalized plans focused on meaningful goals, active engagement, and patient outcomes. The role uses evidence-based interventions, monitors progress, documents outcomes, and educates patients and families to promote safe, independent recovery. The therapist also collaborates across disciplines and may mentor therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity.

Requirements

Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT).
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), or BCLS Instructor, must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Evaluate patient abilities and develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
Deliver evidence-based interventions to restore movement, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
Monitor patient progress, refine therapy plans, and ensure accurate, timely documentation of outcomes.
Educate patients and families about exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and safe practices that promote independence.
Collaborate across disciplines to support cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery.
Mentor therapy assistants or students and uphold HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity.
