About The Position

Community Rehabilitation Hospital North, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist for inpatient rehabilitation. The role supports the hospital’s mission of making communities healthier by providing physical therapy care to patients. The therapist assesses patients, develops individualized plans of care, provides treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical function, and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where the hospital is located.
• Current Basic Life Support/CPR card.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ conditions.
• Establish an appropriate plan of care based on identified problems and involve patients according to their capabilities and preferences.
• Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed physical treatment programs to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction.
• Perform therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques and skills appropriate to the patient’s age and condition.
• Direct and supervise physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel; assess competence, delegate tasks, and establish communication channels.
