About The Position

SSM Health Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to treat both pelvic health and orthopedic patients in Kirkwood, Missouri. SSM Health Physical Therapy provides comprehensive outpatient services through more than 80 centers in the St. Louis Metro area, specializing in sports, orthopedic, hand, and work-related injuries. Its team includes more than 700 physical, occupational, and speech therapists, as well as patient service specialists, and focuses on exceptional care and customer service. The Physical Therapist evaluates patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on patient needs and physician direction. The role also includes directing discipline-specific therapy services, developing functional treatment programs, and educating patients, families, students, coworkers, and oneself.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist, or eligibility for state licensure.
Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans in accordance with patient needs and physician direction.
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
Design functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities.
Educate patients, families, students, coworkers, and oneself.
Perform other professional duties related to patient care, development of discipline-specific therapy services, and program delivery.
