About The Position

Physical Therapist (P.T.) Sports Medicine Part-time. Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Southwest – Fitness Center, 6301 Harris Parkway, Suite 100, Fort Worth, TX 76132. Work hours: Part-time, 24-hours/week, between 7:00AM-6:00PM, schedule varies, No weekends and no federal holidays. Flexible schedule. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy program upon hire Required.
PT - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Problem-solving ability; Ability to teach others.
Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

1 year prior Physical Therapy experience.

Responsibilities

Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.
Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.
Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel.
Focus on Daily Living Skills, Mobility and Cognition of patients.
