About The Position
Independence Rehab is seeking a compassionate and motivated PRN Physical Therapist to join its therapy team at Cascades of Bend, a skilled nursing facility in Bend, Oregon. The position offers approximately 15–20 hours per week with scheduling flexibility and competitive PRN compensation. The role emphasizes clinical autonomy, realistic productivity expectations, collaborative work, and patient-centered care. The therapist helps patients regain mobility, independence, and quality of life.
Requirements
- Current Oregon Physical Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Strong clinical skills and communication skills.
- Patient-centered approach.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or geriatric experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, and age-related conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Help patients regain the confidence and physical abilities needed to return home or achieve their highest level of independence.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide patient and family education to support safe mobility and continued progress.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
