About The Position

This is a travel, temporary assignment for a 13-week contract as a Physical Therapist in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Waterville, Maine. The role offers guaranteed hours and a weekly pay range of $2,426–$2,500. The shift pattern is 5x8 days, with duties conducted during daytime hours (08:00–16:30).

Requirements

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
Active Physical Therapist license and eligibility to practice in Maine (or current licensure as applicable)
Experience in or demonstrated comfort with a skilled nursing/geriatric rehabilitation setting
Ability to participate in a travel assignment and meet the schedule requirements
Strong communication and collaboration skills; proficient in patient documentation and progress reporting
Capacity to work the stated shift and maintain the guaranteed hours

Responsibilities

Conduct initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations for residents, establishing individualized treatment plans aligned with short- and long-term goals.
Administer therapeutic interventions, including gait training, therapeutic exercises, neuromuscular reeducation, balance training, and functional mobility activities.
Monitor progress, document outcomes, adjust treatment plans, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team.
Implement discharge planning and progress toward functional goals, collaborating with nursing, physicians, and therapy aides as needed.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, documentation requirements, and facility policies; participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
