Bronson South Haven is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our collaborative rehab team. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (for Physical Therapist)
  • Active Physical Therapist license in the State of Michigan (for Physical Therapist)
  • BLS certification within 3 months of hire (for Physical Therapist)
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (for Physical Therapist Assistant)
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Michigan (for Physical Therapist Assistant)
  • BLS certification within 3 months of hire (for Physical Therapist Assistant)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with a patient-first approach
  • Comfort using electronic health records and basic computer applications

  • PTA experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality outpatient physical therapy services to patients with orthopedic, neurologic, and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Deliver individualized treatment focused on restoring function, improving strength, relieving pain, and enhancing independence
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers throughout the plan of care
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support patient goals
  • Perform evaluations and interpret referrals (for Physical Therapists)
  • Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans and goals (for Physical Therapists)
  • Establish functional baselines and track patient progress (for Physical Therapists)
  • Supervise PTAs, students, and rehab support staff as applicable (for Physical Therapists)
  • Participate in program development, process improvement, and clinical education (for Physical Therapists)
  • Provide treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist (for Physical Therapist Assistants)
  • Carry out established plans of care and therapeutic interventions (for Physical Therapist Assistants)
  • Support patient participation in individual and group therapy activities (for Physical Therapist Assistants)
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration and program initiatives (for Physical Therapist Assistants)
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and progress in the electronic health record within compliance timelines
  • Communicate barriers to timely documentation when needed
  • Participate in department initiatives, committees, and quality improvement efforts
  • Serve as a clinical resource within areas of expertise
