About The Position

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support patient care in an outpatient orthopedic setting. The role involves assisting Physical Therapists in delivering treatment plans and ensuring patients receive high-quality rehabilitative care. The patient population will focus on outpatient orthopedic conditions. This is a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week, potentially up to 40 hours based on patient volume. The schedule may vary based on clinic needs, and overtime must be approved by the director. Productivity expectations are approximately 60 patient visits per week, treating 12-14 patients per day, with double-booking of follow-up visits expected. The environment is a supportive outpatient setting, and there is an opportunity for assignment extension based on performance and facility needs.

Requirements

• Outpatient experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage a high patient volume efficiently
• Active PTA License (State of Texas or eligible)
• BLS Certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic exercises and modalities to patients
• Monitor patient progress and report updates to supervising therapist
• Educate patients on exercises and recovery techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Ensure a safe and efficient treatment environment
