About The Position

RVNAhealth is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient Therapy Center in Ridgefield, CT. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced Physical Therapists and Board-Certified Clinical Specialists in a collaborative outpatient setting focused on orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation. It is an excellent opportunity for a PTA looking to expand their clinical skills in a supportive, mentorship-driven environment. New graduates are encouraged to apply. The Therapy Center is a multidisciplinary outpatient rehabilitation center offering PT, OT, and SLP services and is a proud member of the Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation Network. It has expanding specialty programs including neurologic rehabilitation and Parkinson's-focused care and an established reputation for compassionate, community-based care. The leadership is supportive and focused on clinician success and development.

Requirements

  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Connecticut (or eligible)
  • Interest in orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Gain hands-on experience treating patients with orthopedic, vestibular, balance, neurologic, and functional mobility conditions.
  • Work directly with experienced clinicians in a setting designed to support growth, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Deliver individualized treatment interventions focused on functional improvement and patient success.
  • Partner with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists in a team-based care model.
  • Utilize technology including home exercise platforms, outcomes tracking, and Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM).

Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence
  • Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the care team
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety strategies
  • Support a positive, patient-centered therapy experience
