Physical Therapist Assistant, Inpatient Rehab (PRN/Per Diem)
About The Position
The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist at Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute in Ocoee, Florida. The institute offers CARF-accredited inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs for adults, adolescents, and children, including specialty programs in stroke, spinal cord, and brain injury rehabilitation. Its 54-bed rehabilitation hospital provides post-acute care and intensive rehabilitative therapies for orthopedic and neurological conditions. The facility includes private rooms, therapy gyms with specialized technology, a simulated apartment, and outdoor therapeutic space. The position is scheduled PRN/per diem. The assistant treats patients according to professional standards, coordinates care with other team members, and counsels patients and their families. Regular and punctual attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies and applicable standards are expected.
Requirements
- Associate degree or graduation from an accredited two-year college program in Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Current Florida license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
- No prior experience required.
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Treat patients according to professional standards of practice.
- Coordinate patient care with other team members.
- Counsel patients and their families.
- Maintain reasonably regular and punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and applicable federal, state, and local standards.
- Comply with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
