About The Position

Union Post Acute is hiring a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant for its skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Union, South Carolina. The facility serves residents in a 40-bed assisted living community and an 88-bed skilled rehabilitation unit. The PTA helps residents recover, rebuild strength, improve mobility, regain independence, and work toward rehabilitation goals as part of a supportive care team. Compensation is $34–$45 per hour based on experience, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

Hold an active PTA license in good standing in the state where the facility operates.
Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Demonstrate compassion, a patient-focused approach, and a genuine desire to help others.
Have strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Be able to work effectively with older adults and individuals recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or other medical conditions.

Responsibilities

Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
Provide therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training to improve strength, balance, coordination, and endurance.
Help residents improve their ability to walk, transfer, and perform everyday activities.
Monitor residents’ responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Document treatments and resident progress accurately and in a timely manner.
Educate residents and caregivers on safe mobility techniques and therapeutic activities.
Collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation team members to support positive resident outcomes.
Provide compassionate, respectful care while maintaining residents’ dignity and safety.
