Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or eligibility to obtain a license.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
- Monitor and document patient progress, report observations to the Physical Therapist, and educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
- Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Work with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to coordinate patient care and support effective treatment outcomes.
