About The Position
HealthPro Heritage is hiring a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant at The Jefferson on a PRN basis. The role provides direct patient care and supports treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists. The assistant monitors and documents patient progress, educates patients and families, and collaborates with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support effective outcomes. Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, therapy equipment, relevant software, and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists.
- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications.
- Monitor and document patient progress, and report observations to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, exercises, and self-care techniques.
- Document patient treatments, progress, and responses in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to coordinate patient care and treatment outcomes.
