About The Position
Pivot Rehabilitation is a therapy delivery and multi-faceted solution management company focused on improving health, advancing care, and lowering the costs of caring for aging populations. The company provides therapy solutions with patients, partners, and clinicians in mind. The Physical Therapist Assistant works under the direction of a physical therapist to provide patient care, document treatment, and coordinate with the supervising therapist and interdisciplinary team. The position is PRN and is listed for locations across Houston, East Texas, Southeast Texas, and South Texas.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Hold a current license in the state where practicing.
- Have good communication skills and relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff.
- Be capable of performing the responsibilities of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Treat patients as directed by the physical therapist.
- Record treatments in the medical record.
- Participate in patient care conferences and weekly rehabilitation meetings.
- Communicate with the supervising therapist, rehabilitation director, and other interdisciplinary team members about patient progress, problems, and plans.
- Participate in facility in-service training programs.
- Record daily treatments and labor according to corporate procedures and state Physical Therapy rules.
