About The Position

Talin Home Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality care to patients in their homes across Northern Virginia. The PTA works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and helps patients regain mobility and improve physical function. Coverage areas include Stafford and Fredericksburg. The medical specialty is Home Health.

Requirements

• CPR Certification (required).
• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (required).
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including children and elderly individuals.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing high-quality patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or knowledge in outpatient services, inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients with various conditions, including geriatrics and acute care needs.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and their families about exercises, techniques, and strategies to enhance recovery.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with facility policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment by following infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
