About The Position
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Full-Time Safire Rehab of Northtowns | Tonawanda, NY $27–$32/hour | Full-Time | Benefits Post Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Safire Rehab of Northtowns. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a PTA who enjoys hands-on therapy and helping residents improve strength, mobility, balance, and independence throughout the recovery process.
Requirements
- Active New York PTA license required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing quality, resident-centered rehabilitation
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or post-acute care experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate PTAs are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with strengthening, gait training, balance, transfers, endurance, and mobility activities
- Follow individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT
- Observe resident performance and communicate progress or changes to the clinical team
- Reinforce therapeutic exercises and safe mobility techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation
- Collaborate with PT, OT, SLP, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
