About The Position
Rehab is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join the rehabilitation team at Eastern Star Home and Campus. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide individualized therapy while helping residents improve daily function, build confidence, and maintain greater independence.
Requirements
- Active New York Occupational Therapist license required
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate Occupational Therapists are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Complete occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
- Provide skilled treatment addressing activities of daily living, strength, coordination, balance, cognition, and functional performance
- Establish appropriate therapy goals and monitor resident progress
- Introduce adaptive techniques and equipment to support safety and independence
- Adjust treatment plans based on resident needs and response to therapy
- Provide education to residents and caregivers to support continued progress
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Work closely with COTAs, PT, SLP, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
