About The Position
Post Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Medford Multicare. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a PTA who enjoys working directly with residents to improve mobility, build strength, and support greater independence throughout the rehabilitation process.
Requirements
- Active New York Physical Therapist Assistant license required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing quality, resident-centered care
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate PTAs are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, transfers, strengthening, and mobility activities
- Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT
- Monitor resident response to therapy and communicate progress or changes to the PT
- Reinforce safe movement techniques and therapeutic strategies
- Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and other healthcare professionals to support resident goals
