Requirements

Successfully complete the educational requirements mandated for state licensure or eligibility for a Physical Therapist Assistant license.
Hold, or be eligible for, current licensure in the state of practice.
Hold current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Frequently lift patients using biomedical techniques.
Be capable of lifting 50 pounds alone.
Walk, bend, stand, and reach constantly during a workday or shift.
Have near and distant visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written directions.
Speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
Push wheeled equipment throughout the facility.
Have fine motor skills adequate for scheduling and preparing patients, equipment, and supplies for treatment.
Participate in sustained activities for many hours in accordance with state labor laws.
