About The Position

Lake Butler Hospital is a critical access hospital in North Florida providing 24-hour emergency services, inpatient hospitalization, swing bed program, rehabilitation services, outpatient laboratory, and outpatient radiology (X-ray, ultrasound, and CT Scan) services to Union County and the surrounding counties. We are devoted to providing all members of our community with premier-quality health care in a compassionate and inviting environment. We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team as a PRN employee! This position will provide coverage on weekends as needed. Sign-On Bonus available!!

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Fully Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with the State of Florida.
1 year experience in hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Carrying out treatment in accordance with the physician's prescription, and as planned/ documented by a supervising Physical Therapist.
Assisting patients in preparing for therapy and return trips.
Assisting with removing and putting on braces or supportive equipment, prosthesis or crutches.
Observing all hospital rules relative to the care and treatment of patients.
Coordinating physical therapy plans, goals, and objectives with the department and other staff members of the health care team.
Contributing to physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives.
Assessing patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying therapy histories.
Assessing abnormal conditions by reviewing physical therapist's interpretations of patient evaluations and test results.
